Life With Kelly Khumalo S3: Will Wanda find love on her blind date?

Kelly has fulfilled her promise of finding love for her best friend, Wanda. However, she didn’t do it the right way this time around. While Kelly wants her friend to meet someone and settle down, she thought it would be a great idea to play a prank on her by setting her up on a blind date with someone she’s not compatible with.

The singer explained on the latest episode of Life with Kelly Khumalo Season 3: “I’ve been up to no good. When I say up to no good, I mean I’m arranging a blind date for Wanda.” She shared that she knew from the minute she went through the guy’s pictures that ‘yes I’m setting this up, maybe let’s leave it as a prank’.” Wanda, meanwhile, had no idea that her bestie was playing a prank on her and although she didn’t know how to feel about the blind date, she decided to show up.

Age ain’t nothing but a number, right?

“Am I excited? Hmmm… No one has ever set me up on a blind date. I’ve never been on a blind date before,” she said, adding that she was curious to see who the guy is. Wanda got all dolled up and showed up looking like the star that she is. However, she seemed a bit disappointed when she saw her date. She immediately labelled the man as a “child” and asked: “Where did they find this guy? You know, I’ve got questions.”

In case you’re wondering why Wanda feels so strongly about not being with a “child”, she made it clear that she’s in her 40s and doesn’t understand why she’s “being hooked up with a kid”. Despite having reservations about the whole thing, Wanda played along and had a conversation with her date. As they were getting to know each other, she found out that he doesn’t drink and is also a vegetarian, which came as a shock to her.

Wanda feels let down

They continued to chat, had a moment after learning about each other’s nationalities. The guy shared that he’s originally from Congo but speaks Swahili, while Wanda mentioned that her parents are from Mozambique, although she hails from Johannesburg. For a moment, it seemed like they were bonding, but Wanda was still stuck on the guy’s age and couldn’t look past that.

“I like a ‘man-man’. You know when you walk in you can feel the presence of a man. Why would you set me up with… When have you seen me with a 20-something-year-old? Me?

Wanda said her friends let her down. “I feel like they don’t even have a clue what I want… I’m pissed off,” Wanda shared.
