In the first season of this gripping crime drama, we are introduced to an anti-corruption unit, AC-12, and the internal affairs investigation of Tony Gates (Lennie James, The Walking Dead).

All of the first four seasons, which are on Showmax, were given 100% critics’ ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. Of Season 1, the New York Times wrote, “[It has] an excellent cast, skillful writing and a knack for making an exotic, unfamiliar world seem like the viewer’s second home.”

Thandie Newton’s performance has also been universally praised: “What is beyond dispute is that Thandie Newton’s DCI Roz Huntley was a startling creation, equal parts brittle anxiety and relentless, shameless calculation”, wrote the Guardian after Season 4.
