Mercy & Ike: “I just want to relax and be taken care of”
For Mercy Eke, success has been sweet but treacherous; every new achievement comes with its challenge. Her triumph at the Big Brother House gave her a platform to build an empire, but it has come with baggage. She’s constantly working and pushing for more success, but the body can only take so much.
The latest episode of Mercy & Ike opens with a sick Mercy informing her sister, Promise, that she’s going to see her doctor. After some tests, he advises her to rest and drink more water.

“But you know you are the cause of what’s happening to you, you don’t eat,” Promise scolds her. Mercy agrees, and she wishes, “someone should come to take the wheel and let me relax.”
How Mercy and Ike make their money
This episode focuses on the couple’s businesses, and Mercy gives viewers a peek into her real estate business, Lambo Homes. Her boyfriend, Ike Onyeama, is doing great too; things have gone from “zero to hundred real quick” since he returned from the States. His fame has brought club appearance money, and he’s landed some endorsement deals.
While the episode focuses on business, the lingering topic about moving in together from the last episode arises again. Promise doesn’t think they should move in together. She believes it’s inappropriate since they aren’t married, and it seems Mercy agrees with her.
But can an episode of Mercy & Ike happen without drama? The couple doesn’t trust each other, and that distrust emerges again towards the end of the episode. To find out what happens, catch the latest episode of Mercy & Ike on Showmax on Sunday nights, straight after it airs on Africa Magic Showcase.
