Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind (2020)
The HBO documentary about the actress whose life was mysteriously cut short in a boating accident is currently at #73 on Rotten Tomatoes’ Best TV Shows of 2020 (So Far).
The movie explores Wood’s life and career through the unique perspective of her daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, and others who knew her best. It features previously unseen home movies, photographs, diaries, letters and artefacts, as well as intimate interviews with her friends, family, co-stars and colleagues; re-examining her personal and professional triumphs and challenges, which have often been overshadowed by her tragic death at age 43. Guests include Robert Wagner, Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.
“She was a larger-than-life success story, a commanding actress, a part of Hollywood when it was glamorous,” says The Los Angeles Times. “She was also a mother who was torn from her kids too soon. This film is a love letter from one of those kids.”
