RHODurban: LaConco gets Annie fired up
Who knew that candles would come between two friends? As silly as it might sound, that’s exactly what viewers got to witness Annie and LaConco causing an argument on the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Durban.
Since the series premiered on Showmax, the ladies have shown that they really know how to put an event together. They’ve hosted soirées and wine tastings, and have even taken each other on getaways. While the intention has been to let loose and learn more about their co-stars, it looks like others see these events as a competition.

LaConco has no time to compete
Well, that’s if you believe what Annie said in one of the recent episodes. While the ladies were chilling, she mentioned that her friend of over 10 years overheard a chat between Mabusi and LaConco.
“So, I have a friend, her name is Yama. She was in one of the treatment rooms when you walked in with Mabusi. So, she said to me that you guys were having a conversation that your events, you want to outdo my event.”
Both Mabusi and LaConco denied this, of course. “I don’t compete,” LaConco said.
Now, fast-forward to this week’s episode, and LaConco turned the tables around and implied that Annie tried to sabotage her. The ladies were enjoying their Midlands trip, where Sorisha and LaConco were hosting them.
While Sorisha was handing out gifts to everyone, LaConco had this remark about Annie: “Can you see why I’m quiet? It’s coming through my mind that in the morning I had prepared gifts for you guys. So, Annie purposely left the gifts in Durban.”
Apparently, the lady who makes her candles told her this.
No back-and-forth games
Annie was astounded by the accusation.
LaConco added: “We travelled here, all of us, and the candles were not ready yet. So, I thought ‘oh my goodness Annie is arriving in the morning. So, let me rather ask Annie’… The lady who did my candles claims that she came at the salon and she asked where’s Annie. And she actually gave Annie the product…”
Annie denied receiving the candles and explained that they must have been given to her sister because they look alike. “I actually sent her your picture… I can show you the conversation,” LaConco said.
“I see you’re coming at me now because I mentioned that thing about Yama. We’re not even gonna play these back-and-forth games,” Annie responded.
She explained that by the time the candles arrived, she was no longer at the salon. “I’m actually pissed… As for your candle, I would not purposefully try to sabotage your situation,” she told LaConco.
A few days later, Annie reached out to LaConco so that they could iron things out. The ladies went on a dinner date, apologised to each other and were able to move on from the situation.
