Rockville: JB and Lindi’s financial woes lead them back to crime
The fifth season of Rockville kicked off with a bang! The hit series is back with familiar faces from previous seasons and some new cast members. What else is new this time around? Well, JB and Lindi are filthy rich and have all the things money can buy. However, their riches could soon disappear if they don’t settle their debt.
Things aren’t looking good for the pair. While they were determined to turn their lives around and live an honest life, their finances have forced them to go back to pimping young girls.
Here’s the dilemma: JB owes an old business associate R20 million, and his hotel is not making money because of COVID-19. What’s the solution? Well, Lindi suggested that they go back to their old life. “After everything we’ve been through, I promised myself we’d never go back there,” JB told Lindi after she came up with the idea. However, she somehow managed to twist his arm and he decided to give it a shot.
“If we do this your mother can never find out. Six months and we’re out,” he said. All they need now is a black diamond who will make lots of money for them. They found some ladies who were taken off the streets by the cops and moved them to their hotel. The ladies were told that the pimps that used to exploit them are now a thing of the past.
Lindi gave a short speech detailing what would be expected from them. “Welcome to Hotel Paradiso. This is a safe haven for you. Here, you won’t get attacked, arrested or exploited. Now, what we would like for you ladies to do is something you already do, and we assist you. We give you a room and you can go and come as you please. All you need to do is hand us twenty percent.”
Judging by the ladies’ reaction, this is a deal. Will going back to crime solve JB and Lindi’s financial problems or will it get them in trouble with the law? Watch Rockville on Showmax to follow the couple’s journey.
