Seng’khatele S3: No job, no sex for a disgruntled Zakes
Whoever said breakups are easy has obviously never watched Seng’khathele and episode 4 was another reminder. Zakes and his partner, Kediemetse, were in the spotlight this week, and Lerato Mvelase had the unenviable task of talking them through their difficult split.
Even broke men deserve love
Their relationship began on an incredibly happy note and before they knew it, the two of them had moved in and were going strong. However, things began to change when Zakes lost his job and Kediemetse started changing.
At first, he thought she had found someone better, but the truth is that Kediemetse had lost love for him as a result of his unemployment. His contract had come to an end and suddenly his partner’s attitude towards him changed.
Their love grew cold, their sex life died and even their child, who is nearly two, wasn’t enough to keep them together. The sex issue in particular was very difficult for him to handle as he believes it was a direct response to his employment status.
Kediemetse has her say
Kediemetse came into the fray and she opened up about the challenges in their relationship. She openly admitted to cheating on him, claiming that he didn’t have time for her and so she looked elsewhere to try to find love and affection.
According to her, however, everything in their romance was still fine and she was even talking about a future, marriage and even more children! As Lerato said, “This could end in tears…”
Zakes cuts the cord
The showdown between these two was highly anticipated, and it was never going to end well. Zakes had a lot to say about the level of disrespect that had been directed towards him. He felt as if he was being shamed for being unemployed and the way which his partner spoke to him was far offside, according to him.
Once he had said his piece, he revealed that it was time for the two lovers to break up. However, Kediemetse didn’t see it the same way. Her response, “Break up for what?” was comical!
It seems as if she had been totally blindsided by this decision and as the minutes went by, the realisation slowly began to set in her face and she was left feeling heartbroken in front of the country.
Before the dust was settled, she flipped the script and revealed that he too had cheated on her numerous times and she forgave him. He had nothing else to say so he opened up about his biggest issue – the lack of sex!
The two carried on going back and forth but in the end, as Lerato predicted, it ended in tears.
