The Herd: Ayanda and MaMngadi’s final showdown
We were expecting a powerful finale of The Herd S2 and what we got was beyond our wildest imagination. Who would have thought that Ayanda would become such a force and actually go head-to-head with MaMngadi? If you’re curious about their showdown, you’ve come to the right place.
Is it over for MaMngadi?
Ayanda finally got what she wanted and became Muzi’s wife. This is something she’s desired since she first started dating him. As you’ve seen, it hasn’t been an easy journey for her and she’s had to make some tough choices, including killing a baby, to get her way. Oh, and she’s now also a very powerful witch. Ayanda also took things a step further by making Muzi sign a will that ensures that she will get everything that belongs to him when he dies. She will also get what belonged to Smanga and a portion of the farm.

One would assume that after all this drama Ayanda would get to live happily ever after. However, things aren’t as easy as she thought they would be. Ayanda’s mother-in-law is MaMngadi and we don’t have to mention her name twice for you to know just how dangerous she is. She’s the same woman who ate her grandchild’s heart in order to gain her powers back and become an unstoppable force. First on her agenda was to separate Muzi and Ayanda.
She made sure that Muzi came to her alone and performed a ritual on him to break Ayanda’s love spell. And it worked! The spell was broken and Muzi ran to Ayanda told her that he wants nothing to do with her or their marriage. This angered Ayanda, of course and she went straight to MaMngadi. The two witches came face-to-face, and it wasn’t a beautiful scene. Ayanda simply pointed a finger at MaMngadi and made her disappear. Just like that. Scary, right?
Ayanda is the new head witch in charge! Is this the end of MaMngadi? #TheHerdMzansi

Does this mean that Ayanda has won the battle? Or will MaMngadi make a comeback?
No hope for Dumazile and Dingane
The sad passing of Dingane and Dumazile’s baby has caused a rift between the two lovers. Now that the baby has been buried, Dumazile has made it clear that she wants nothing to do with him. As much as they both love each other, it’s evident that love just won’t be enough to salvage the relationship.
Yes, both of them are hurting right now and they probably should spend this time together, helping each other to recover. However, Dumazile is just not there anymore and wants out! These two have been together for a while so we can’t help but wonder if there’s still hope for their relationship?
We’re devastated that the show has come to an end and can’t wait to see if there will be a third season or not. If you’re struggling to let go, why not binge the first and second season of The Herd on Showmax? You won’t regret it!
