The Mommy Club Sugar & Spice: Christina sparks concern

Christina was respectfully called out by the other ladies for her lack of self-awareness in the most recent episode of The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice. From the different events that the cast members have attended together, they’ve picked up a few things that have left them uneasy.

Lenore was the first one to try and get Christina to understand how her behaviour and words tends to make others feel. At the lovely fashion event Lenore hosted for the ladies, she pulled Christina to the side and told her, in part: “You don’t allow a person to say, you interject while a person’s speaking. You just hear your voice…”

Surgeon claim disputed

Christina’s response was: “Lenore, are you Doctor Phil now? Are you having a therapy session with me?” Lenore then even brought up the fact that Christina claimed her husband is a surgeon. “I’m not Doctor Phil. I’m not claiming to be anything that I’m not like how you claim your husband to be a surgeon.” Christina denied saying her husband is a surgeon. “I did not say my husband is a surgeon. He’s 30, how can he be a surgeon at 30?”

However, Christina did mention this at Kim’s baby shower, and Lenore reminded her about it. At the shower, Christina told the other mommies: “My husband is also a very good surgeon, I have to say.” When asked about her husband’s occupation, Christina shared that her husband is not even 30 years old and has done surgery at one of the best hospitals in the country.

During her chat with Lenore, Christina was made aware that she has been offensive to not only Lenore, but to the other mothers as well. “I have spoken to the other moms,” she said. The two ladies then went back to the table to chat with the other moms, just to confirm what Lenore what highlighting.

Lack of self-awareness

“At the last event, everyone was giving her the benefit of the doubt. But you’re doing it again, girl. You need to be quiet, and you need to listen,” Kim remarked. At the table, Kim also brought up Christina’s lack of self-awareness. “Why everyone felt like that at the baby shower is every time anyone wanted to interject, it was you commanding the conversation, speaking over people, also just not being self-aware enough to know that actually there’s other people wanting to speak.”

Christina, however, felt like everyone was just jumping on the bandwagon because Lenore was upset. After saying a few other things, Christina chose to leave.
