The Real Housewives of Durban S4: Mabusi returns for closure
Have the ladies really moved on from the past or is the healing chat not that serious? We’re not quite sure what the progress is, especially after the recent episode of The Real Housewives of Durban. The co-stars were once again required to show up for another event - this time, Angel’s motherhood shindig.
Revisiting the past
Before the festivities began, Sorisha decided to have a meeting with Mabusi, an old friend of the show. Her intention was to assess her feelings towards Jojo and Nonku and whether or not a reconciliation could take place.
When Sorisha asked what’s her deal with Jojo, Mabusi said she feels like she was played. “We did a whole show, I don’t know if you saw. So, her and I were trying to show that forgiveness is possible after a scenario between us.” The scenario she’s referring to happened a few seasons ago when they almost got into a physical altercation.

Blocked
After the TV show they both appeared on, Jojo, according to Mabusi, blocked her everywhere. “She blocked everyone, she blocked my PR. I was so hurt, babe, because I really didn’t know what it was about because I thought we buried the past.” Sorisha saw Angel’s event as Mabusi’s opportunity to ask Jojo’s what’s happening. Since a lot of time has passed, Sorisha feels that healing has taken place. “Jojo is in a different state right now. She is more accepting of things,” she said. When Sorisha brought up Nonku’s name, Mabusi explained that they hadn’t seen each other in over a year. “Nonku just stopped talking to me. So, I can’t force her. If she doesn’t wanna talk, I don’t have time. We move to other people who appreciate our presence in their lives.”
Initially when she heard the “Mabusi vibes” comments last season, she didn’t have a reaction until she heard Mbali explaining it. The explanation was: “She looks ghetto. It’s as if she’ll grab your wig and beat you up.” Mabusi said this changed everything for her.

Surprise guest
The day for Angel’s event finally arrived and Sorisha surprised everyone when she brought Mabusi as her guest. When Mabusi walked in with Sorisha, Jojo said: “I’m actually excited to see Mabusi. I haven’t seen her in two years.” Mabusi went around the table and hugged the ladies, including Jojo and Nonku.
The conversation was flowing and some of ladies got a bit emotional as they reflected on the motherhood journeys. Mabusi mentioned that she’s glad to see Slee and Nonku cordial, compared to what she saw last time. “I’m a new person as well, Mabusi,” Nonku told her. Mabusi responded by asking Nonku if she doesn’t see “Mabusi vibes” anymore. She wanted Nonku to elaborate on the term. However, after a brief back and forth between the ladies, Mabusi said she’s over it. She moved on to Jojo, saying she wants to close chapters.

Jojo explains why she blocked Mabusi
She told Jojo: “You and I did a whole show together to show that we have moved past our issues. You blocked me everywhere... I think you are fake; your apology was not real.” Jojo didn’t seem interested and told Mabusi not to start fights. She didn’t seem to understand Mabusi’s reaction to being blocked two years ago.
Things got heated, but the other ladies deescalated the matter. Once both ladies had calmed down, Mabusi apologised to Jojo, and this resulted in Jojo explaining that she felt her life was at risk after some of Mabusi’s social media fans threatened her. That’s why she was blocked.
