The Real Housewives of Durban S4: Zama gets put in the hot seat

Is Zama bringing the drama this season? It seems so. The new Real Housewives of Durban cast member is ruffling some feathers and it’s not looking cute. According to Jojo, Zama came into the group with preconceived notions of everybody. She went as far as comparing her to a former friend of the show, who used to start trouble.

Things were a bit tense on the latest season of the hit Showmax reality series as Zama was put in the hot seat. Not even Annie’s guest appearance could steal the spotlight from Zama. She was confronted by some of the ladies during Jojo’s country-themed housewarming. While everyone was dressed in their cowboy hats and boots and expecting to have a good ol’ time, Jojo mentioned: “I feel like our new girls, beautiful Ameigh, Angel and Zama, obviously there’s been some tensions going back and forth here.”

Does Zama have an issue with Angel?

She added: “But there is something I want to address with Zama, merely because issues lead to further issues that just keep piling on.” She told Zama that she didn’t appreciate something that happened at her 40th birthday celebration. One of the things Jojo brought up was Zama’s comments about Angel.

“I don’t know if you don’t like Angel, but I know that you’ve had conversations with girls in this group and a lot of those questions were the same things that you’ve been saying about Angel, which were very hurtful. And I just feel like if you don’t like Angel or you feel like you need to say something to Angel, she is right here,” She said. The whole interaction didn’t sit well with Zama, as she felt like Jojo inviting her to her home was a very calculated move. She didn’t understand because she was under the impression that certain issues had been settled.

Sensitive issues

Jojo then brought up the sensitive topic that Angel had opened up about at Zama’s event. Angel had revealed that she was dealing with infertility issues. “As a group at that moment, we should have all stopped with whatever the f*** we were doing and listened to you,” Jojo told everyone. This was well-received by Angel, who commented: “I’m taking the apologies that they are giving me to heart because, like I said, it’s a very sensitive issue.”

This particular conversation was missed by Zama during her birthday celebration. However, when she asked to be filled in, and as the ladies were trying to bring her up to speed, she told them to “hold that thought” and proceeded to make a wish.

Too much snooping

Angel brought up several things that Zama said about her behind her back, including the fact that she’s claiming her parents’ businesses as her own. Zama, on the other hand, refused to entertain the topic further. “One, I don’t know this child. Two, I don’t know this child,” she said.

Slee also chimed in and accused Zama of saying different things about the rest of the cast members. Zama responded: “I’m surprised because when you’re having those conversations, you’re talking to people. So, seemingly I’m the one that’s making calls around people, and people had nothing to say.” This led to a back and forth between Zama, Angel and Ameigh.
