The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Nonku and Liz's flirty date
One thing Nonku will do is give love another chance. Time and time again, we’ve seen The Real Housewives of Durban star either talking about being in a relationship or introducing viewers to her partner. Although things in the romance department haven’t quite worked out in the past, the mother and businesswoman is still open to love.
While vacationing in Jamaica with her fellow South African Housewives, Nonku decided to entertain a gentleman she met on a night out. Liz was also interested in him: according to both ladies, this gent comes from the United Kingdom.
Friendship over romance
Although the co-stars were both attracted to him, they didn’t allow that to get in the way of their budding friendship. Yes, Nonku admitted that she “snatched” him from Liz. However, there’s no bad blood between them.
Nonku and Liz drove two hours to another part of Jamaica to meet this British man. They had a light-hearted chat about that experience while chilling in the swimming pool. Nonku shared: “So, I asked him yesterday, ‘who do you want? There are two women here, beautiful women. You have to choose now’.” She then told Liz: “But you were also flirty with him because at one point you were sitting like this and you were looking oh-so-pretty and I’m like, ‘this girl’.”
So, what does Nonku like about this British gentleman? Well, she couldn’t stop talking about his physique, accent and demeanour. “Everything about him screams yes,” she added. The ladies met the guy for drinks, but he didn’t make a good impression. Liz was put off after the bill came, according to her. He did the unthinkable… She explained: “The bill is like 65 US dollars, which is like R1 300, which is nothing for someone from the UK.”
Dutch dilemma
She continued: “I thought this guy was really awesome and very nice. Cool, I like this guy. The bill comes and then he says, ‘can we Dutch this’?” The man wanted to go fifty-fifty. And because of that encounter, Lizi feels that she dodged a very big bullet. Nonku paid 30 US dollars and her holiday bae paid 35 US dollars. Liz told Nonku: “The man said to you ‘let’s go Dutch, fifty-fifty’, and you still want to have a date with him tonight?” She responded: “I like him.” Nonku made it clear that it shouldn’t be about money at this point.
