The River: Cobra steals Lindiwe’s diamond
It’s a new year but Cobra is still up to no good. While other people are trying to become better versions of themselves, Dimpho and Tumi’s older brother is not planning to change any time soon. He recently made his comeback after being away from the show for a couple of weeks and the first thing he did was to plan a crime. Yes, some things really never change.
It all started after he heard that Lindiwe was planning to host a fancy diamond launch. This, by the way, is the same diamond that Cobra discovered at Khanyisa Diamonds. The news about the launch didn’t settle well with Cobra because he felt as though Lindiwe wasn’t taking good care of her employees. The lavish party really upset him, and things took a turn for the worst after he heard that Mrs Dlamini-Dikana had also purchased an expensive car.
Cobra plans the perfect crime
Cobra decided it would be best if he stole the diamond from Lindiwe and to pull this one off he called his best friends, Oupa and Percy. You know it’s about to get lit when these three get together!
Cobra somehow convinced himself that taking back the diamond would not only help him, but everyone else who works at Khanyisa Diamonds. He dragged mine workers and Refilwe residents to Lindiwe’s fancy launch and they managed to disrupt the party. Cobra told news reporters that Lindiwe doesn’t pay her workers a good salary, but her children are overpaid. He also mentioned that she splurges and has extremely expensive taste.
Lindiwe loses her precious diamond
Cobra obviously used the protest as a distraction because while he and the miners were singing their lungs out and telling Lindiwe where to get off, Oupa and Percy were working on getting the diamond. They disguised themselves as catering people and gave the men who were looking after the diamond poisoned drinks which knocked them out. After their plan succeeded, Oupa and Percy went back to get the diamond and escaped before anyone could catch them.
As expected, Lindiwe screamed after discovering that her precious gem had been stolen.
She immediately knew that this had Cobra written all over it.
We don’t know what will happen when Lindiwe gets her hands on Cobra, but we’re certain that it won’t be a pretty scene. It won’t be easy for her to pin this one on him because he’s denying having any part in it.
