The River: Mabutho wants Tumi to leave Lindani for him
Tumi and Mabutho are playing in very dangerous territory. The two had a steamy session behind Lindani’s back and now Mabutho wants Tumi all to himself. Is he being realistic here, considering the fact that he is Lindani’s cousin? How did they get here? Well, let’s fill you in.
For the past couple of weeks, Lindani has been pressuring Tumi to move into an RDP house with him and also have children. He feels they’re ready to start their own family but Tumi is not on the same page.
She wants them to enjoy their lives as a married couple for now and only have kids later. After much convincing from his wife, Lindani calmed down. However, it was a bit too late because Tumi had already cheated on him with Mabutho. Her conscience is getting the better of her and she’s been trying to ease it by buying material things for her husband. She took him on a shopping spree and even splurged on a new car.
Three’s a crowd
But Lindani is not really into what Tumi is doing and is convinced that she wants to change him. She doesn’t understand why he’s still hung up in his old dreams. “This is me. I didn’t ask for all of this. You’re trying to change me, I don’t want to change,” he told Tumi, reminding her that he’s the head of the household. These two are so out of sync it’s painful to watch!
Out of frustration Lindani has been confiding in his cousin, Mabutho, not knowing that he has been fooling around with Tumi behind his back. This whole thing is a big mess now because Mabutho has even told Lindani that maybe it’s time to accept that his marriage is nearing the end. Meanwhile, he’s been trying to pressure Tumi into leaving Lindani for him. This whole thing will definitely end in tears.
Khabzela wants his mother back
In Refilwe, Khabzela is caught up in drama of his own. He blames himself for his mother’s death and just can’t seem to move past that thought. Everyone has been trying to make him realise that it was an accident, but he just doesn’t seem to hear it.
The taxi owner has been miserable and drinking non-stop to try and deal with the pain of losing a parent. Khabzela now believes he has nothing to live for because the person he was working hard for is gone. He showed up very drunk at her funeral and made a heartbreaking speech about how God made a mistake by taking his mother from him. “Bring her back. She must come back,” he said.
Now that you’ve caught up on all the action, do you think Tumi will end her marriage and live happily ever after with Mabutho? Will Khabzela’s road to healing get better? Tune into The River S3 on Showmax for the latest drama.
