Vula Vala: Mzi leaves Teaspoon hanging for another girl
It’s been a couple of weeks since Vula Vala made its debut on our screens. The drama series has intrigued audiences with its gripping storyline about how the soccer business operates in townships.
Here’s a recap of what went down this week as the Scorpions work hard at cleaning up their image and going back to their winning streak.
After a terrible performance last week, Mzi gets another chance to prove himself. He successfully does so by playing a beautiful game during a match. However, beneath the victory is a never-ending road of adversaries ahead of him. Will he weather the storm?
Mzi saves the Scorpions from humiliation and claims victory
Despite all the failures and bad press, Bra Rex and his team achieve their first win in a long time. And it’s all thanks to the new kid on the block, Mzi.
After getting benched, Mzi plucks up the courage to convince Bra Rex to put him in the match, which was a great move because he helped the team emerge victorious. It has been a long journey to get to this point and Mzi’s addition to the team has been Lefa’s ticket into his father’s good books.
During the match, Mzi came in as a substitute player and scores three goals for the team. Everyone is happy for him except Gift, who’s filled with jealousy, and worries that Mzi is slowly taking his spotlight.
Teaspoon might be second best
Mzi surprises his girlfriend, Teaspoon, with tickets to another game. But right after the match, he meets Owami for the second time and the chemistry between them is undeniable. “I know you’re going to kill it,” says Owami, after asking Mzi if he’s ready for the game.
The attraction that’s building up between the two might cause all sorts of trouble for Teaspoon, who has been nothing but a loyal and supportive girlfriend.
After the win, Lefa told Mzi that they were throwing a party for him and just before he could come with any excuse, Owami offers to give Mzi a lift in her car. You’d think Mzi would bring his girlfriend along, but nope! Instead, he asks Teaspoon to drop Kop and his father off home, while he heads to the party with Lefa and Owami. Wow!
The chemistry is a hard pill to swallow for Teaspoon. But one thing’s for sure: she’s a keeper and it doesn’t look like she is going to let another woman take her man.
