Wura episodes 49-52 recap: “I will bring Ebun home”
In the latest episodes of Wura, Mide and Percy fight again. The reason for the fight is more severe than their typical petty arguments. Mide fears Ebun is dead; they heard a gunshot during a call with Biggie, and he is no longer answering their calls. Mide’s genius plan is to go to the police; Percy doesn’t welcome the idea because it will implicate them all. But elder brother Mide is desperate.

Percy finds a way to reach Biggie. Mide quickly grabs the phone and starts making demands. “Biggie, where is my sister?” he asks. Biggie gives the phone to Ebun, and brother and sister have a heart-to-heart before the kidnapper interrupts and threatens Mide to deliver the gold within the next 24 hours.
Tumi listens in the background. “Tell me what I just heard is untrue. You know who kidnapped Ebun?” she asks angrily. “You swore to us that you’ve left crime behind. Look at you, playing with the life of your family. She could be dead!”
On the wealthier side of Iperindo, Wura is doing what Wura does best: getting what she wants regardless of who is hurt. She is devising a scheme to force Lolu to marry Mandy, planting the idea in everyone’s heads. Jeje is the only one in the know, and he doesn’t support her plan. He keeps reminding her Lolu likes men, but when Wura is in this mode, she listens to no one.
A fake proposal on Wura
Wura convinces Mandy to invite Lolu out, and she finds a ring in her drink during their dinner. Mandy gets jubilant, and someone plays romantic tunes from a saxophone; Lolu is confused. He didn’t plan this, but being the sweetheart he is, he plays along.
The following day at breakfast, Mandy shares the news. Jeje and Eve are shocked; Tony and Wura are delighted. The Adeleke patriarch makes dad jokes and salutes his son. Wura wastes no time setting up an engagement party while Tony has intimate talks with his son.
“Man of the moment,” he praises his boy later in the day. “People will tell all sorts of nonsense about marriage, but don’t listen to them. One thing is very important, always be generous when it comes to service in the bedroom.”
Lolu isn’t interested in this conversation; he is only trying to figure out what is happening. “Did mum ask you to tell me to get married because I feel like she’s trying to have a way,” he asks Tony, who evades the question. But Lolu now has an idea of his mum’s plans.
Tumi’s gold heist
Despite their different senses of morality, Wura and Tumi are similar. They get things done! After discovering Biggie’s demands, Tumi sets out to steal the gold from the Adeleke’s mansion. She will rescue their little sister without Mide.
“I will get the gold and put an end to this nonsense once and for all,” she tells Mide.
Her plan is simple: Jeje as the Trojan horse again. She visits him, and only a few minutes into their conversation, he tells her the gold has been moved to the house because no one will dare rob a commissioner’s home.
At the party, Tumi quickly finds her way to Wura’s home office and starts snooping. Then Wura walks in on her. “Tumi, what are you doing here?” she asks. Tumi lies, but she isn’t convincing. Luckily, Jeje comes in. Wura then receives a call which informs her the gold is now in India.
Meet Adewale, Mandy’s cousin
At the engagement party, we meet Mandy’s cousin, Adewale. He is a dapper young man around Lolu’s age. Mandy’s dad wastes no time in introducing the young man to Wura.
“Adewale is a geologist, and presently, he is looking for a place to do his internship,” he says, facing Wura. Lolu suggests he interns with the Frontline Mine and takes him away for a drink.
Eve fancies him. “Is he single?” she asks Mandy the following morning, but Labake responds. She tells her to focus on her books. Wura agrees. “He is too old for you, better behave yourself when he moves in,” she cautions her daughter.
Wura is taking Adewale in to please Mandy’s dad, but it seems the boy likes Lolu. Watch the latest episodes of Wura online on Showmax.
