Madam & Mercy: Madam addresses her haters
It doesn’t matter who you are, people will always have something to say. While some will show you love, others will come with negativity. Madam knows this too well. As much as there are people who adore and look up to her, there are those who constantly choose to criticise her.
Humble beginnings
On the latest episode of Madam & Mercy, the businesswoman decides to set the record straight about the intention behind the reality show. It seems some people are of the belief that the reality show is just aimed at showing off Madam’s flashy lifestyle. She explained that she comes from very humble beginnings and worked her way up.
She shared: “I started as a teacher. I left teaching and started my business journey. I did catering and other things… Then I started my bush cleaning business… I had cars, I had a panel beater, I had everything.” It was during this time that she met her ex-husband.
“After getting married I had to go and stay on site, then things started not going right. I thought I was building a family, but I was breaking my family.”
Madam revealed that after years of marriage, she decided to leave, and she only took her clothes. “I left all the cars, I left everything in the house. I only left with my clothes because you can’t fight a man.”
She added that she’s proud of the woman she has become because it took years to get to where she is. Madam made it clear that she’s not just about the flashy life and that her intention is to motivate others by being open about where she comes from.
Goodbye for now
The mother of two then addressed the people who say she’s had her lips done. “I didn’t have my lips augmented. They are naturally fuller.” According to her, some people are always negative. “If it paid their bills and helped them get money, they would be rich,” she said, adding that they are just there to criticise.
The first season of the show has come to an end and both mother and daughter have thanked those who watched and supported them. “I just wanna say to everybody who’s watched the show, take inspiration where you can. We all live different lives and we all have different journeys,” she said.
