The Hardy Boys S1

Watch all of it now

Kids adventure novel series The Hardy Boys by Edward Stratemeyer is brought to life in the 13-episode Season 1 of The Hardy Boys. And it’s everything fans of the book series have needed and a whole lot more.

Rohan Campbell and Alex Elliot play brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, who move to a new town when their mother dies. Except Mama Hardy didn’t die in an accident like the police believe – it was murder and it’s somehow connected to the work that their detective dad Fenton (James Tupper) does investigating a potential organised crime syndicate that’s moved into their little town of Bridgeport. And that missing crew from a fishing boat and a stolen Egyptian artefact hold more info than anyone realises…

The crime is gritty and the adventure lives up to the books completely. The child actors are sublime in their portrayal of characters that have been around for decades. This series is a proper whodunit murder mystery and the more you watch, the more you want to go back, re-watch the previous episodes and look for more clues.

Don’t worry if you haven’t read the novels. This procedural drama series is fab to watch without any knowledge of the books, and the way it’s been written and filmed is more than entertaining. It tells a story that pulls you in as each secret is revealed.
