Here’s a quick recap of Faithless episode 4:
Ruth is haunted by nightmares
The episode begins with Ruth tormented by guilt over her actions. Nightmares of Manu in the church haunt her every moment while she conceals the stolen cash, and struggles to decide between turning herself in or using the money for good.
Cain discovers a snitch among them

Meanwhile, Cain becomes aware of a potential snitch in his organisation. To send a message to anyone thinking of betraying him, he shoots a man at point-blank range. With pressure mounting, Cain turns to his son, Jonah, demanding that he recover the missing money at any cost.
Who is Cain’s government connection?
Surprising revelations surface as we learn that Cain reports to a higher authority, possibly working for the government. This mysterious man is displeased with the raid on the warehouse and the ongoing absence of the stolen money.
Conscience weighs heavy for Hope and Deborah

Hope is shaken up when she learns that her husband discovered blood in the car boot. Pressed to explain her recent strange behaviour, Hope lies about the blood, burdened by the weight of her conscience. Meanwhile, Deborah, usually accommodating to her customers, adopts a hard-line approach, hinting at her internal struggles.
Esther’s desperate search for Lilly
Esther drops off her niece, Lilly, at a beauty salon to lift her spirits. However, a sudden encounter with a stranger leads to Lilly’s disappearance, sending Esther and her friends on a desperate search to find the lost child.
Detective Dan smells a rat
At the police station, Detective Dan hosts a debrief session to review evidence from the drug bust. While he believes he has strong links to Cain, the higher-ups inexplicably shut down the investigation, leaving Dan suspicious of an unseen agenda.
Rachel files a missing person’s report

Hysterical about Manu’s whereabouts, Rachel confronts Pastor Musa at the church. Musa remains nonchalant, believing it’s normal for a young man to be away from home. However, he supports Rachel with her decision to report Manu missing to the police.
A deadly standoff

The climax of the episode unfolds as Cain storms the church, demanding that Esther, Hope and Deborah return his money. Threats hang heavy in the air as he holds Lilly at gunpoint. As tensions escalate, Ruth enters the scene, clutching the duffel bag with the stolen money and leaving us on the edge of our seats.
