Om en Om (2021)
Troukoors stars Ilse-Lee van Niekerk and Evan Hengst lead Om en Om, a kykNET romcom written by SAFTA nominee Retief Scholtz (Arendsvlei) and directed by Silwerskerm winner Willem Grobler (Strangers You Know, Hum).
The feature film follows Liesl and Sybrand, who could not be further apart. Liesl is a divorce lawyer focused on her career, and Sybrand is an accountant nursing a broken heart. Their lives are not terrible, just terribly predictable and boring, until a comedy of errors makes someone else’s blind date their problem, and a whirlwind chase around Cape Town ensues. Will these two end up having more fun than they’d like to admit?
The all-star cast also includes SAFTA winners Cintaine Schutte (Fynskrif) and Erica Wessels (Donkerbos), SAFTA nominee Ira Blanckenberg (Toorbos), and the likes of Albert Maritz (Alles Malan), Daneel van der Walt (Nêrens, Noord-Kaap, Recipes for Love and Murder) and Melt Sieberhagen (Troukoors).
