Een Keer Om Die Son follows the lives of one family over the course of a calendar year, charting their ups and downs when tragedy strikes and everything changes overnight.
Already renewed for a second season, the kykNET drama series is co-created by Ivan Botha and DonnaLee Roberts, the team behind blockbusters like Pad Na Jou Hart and Vir Altyd.
Silwerskerm winner Jacques Bessenger (Koek, Donkerbos) and four-time SAFTA nominee Jana Kruger co-star as neurosurgeon Ruan and his wife, Lani, while their three children are played by Liam Bosman (Meerkat Maantuig), Alma Van Heerden (Spooksoeker), and newcomer Klara Van Zyl. Also look out for the likes of double SAFTA winner Deon Lotz and Silwerskerm winner Pierre van Pletzen (Hans Steek Die Rubikon Oor), not to mention Donnalee Roberts as Ruan’s sister Amé.
