Over 60 definitely doesn’t mean over the hill in this fun reality show in which 12 senior citizens compete in a series of challenges to win a R100 000 cash prize.
The contestants will have to make music videos, cook an amazing meal, share their memories, show their dance moves and more to earn the title.
Meet The Coolest OGs
Jabulani Zwane (73)
Born in Soweto and living in Spruitview, Jabulani is the former manager of a lighting company. He loves making movies.
Reuben Huma (63)
Born in the Magaliesberg and living in Alberton, Reuben worked on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He loves playing golf and is a DJ.
Joy Brady (68)
Born in Johannesburg and living in Eldorado Park, Joy is a part-time clerk and former admin manager. She loves to dance, listen to music, cook and bake, and she’s always up for a party.
Dave Ridley (60)
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Dave lives in Meyerton. He’s an actor and IT consultant, and in his spare time loves to ride motorcycles and garden.
Gina McAuliffe (67)
Gina lives in Brooklyn, Pretoria but was born in Liverpool in the UK. She worked for the Irish government before retirement, and enjoys sewing, art and watching MMA.
Rani Govender (67)
Born in Greytown, Durban, and living in Sandton, Rani is a fulltime granny and former hairdresser. She loves to cook and look after her grandson, and took part in the show to show her grandson how cools he can be.
Nalphy Moratuoa Lesoma (60)
Living in Midrand, Gauteng, Nalphy is a real estate agent and former business development director. This gym addict can hold a plank for 10 minute and loves watching comedy and football.
Vanessa Cooke (73)
Born in Hillbrow, Vanessa currently lives in Auckland Park. She’s a performer and loves to walk her dogs, watch TV, nap and drive her 1989 Toyota Corolla.
Thandi Mtimkulu (62)
Born in Orlando West, Soweto, Thandi loves cooking and learning to be a DJ.
Chinsamy Marie Thanaseelan (68)
This former hardware salesperson was born in Marabastad, Tshwane, and enjoys hiking, soccer, dancing and gardening.
Zwelakhe Julius Mtsaka (76)
Born in East London and living in Sophiatown, Zwelakhe is a former university lecturer who enjoys jogging, reading and watching wrestling.
Geoffrey Press (66)
His love for movies is the reason Geoffrey signed up for The Coolest OGs. Born in Sophiatown he’s a former boilermaker.
