The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
David Fincher directed this film, the first in the trilogy of adaptations of the late Stieg Larsson’s smash-hit Millenium collection, which won an Oscar for film editing. Critics praised Mara’s performance as young, troubled computer hacker Lisbeth Salander.
“Audiences may remember [Mara’s] powerful cameo in Fincher’s The Social Network as Mark Zuckerberg’s angry ex-girlfriend Erica. As the girl with the dragon tattoo, she is absolutely lethal, an implacable avenger and a black-belt sexual presence,” wrote The Guardian.
The movie is about journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) who enlists the help of Lisbeth Salander in investigating the case of a girl who went missing 40 years ago. Together, the two discover that even the wealthiest, most famous families have dangerous and terrifying secrets.
