The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: LaConco on polygamy
LaConco has decided to let her guard down and share her life with The Real Housewives fans. This was a treat because the mother of one, when she was on The Real Housewives of Durban, never really shared much about her private life. We guess Jamaica has made LaConco comfortable enough to reveal a part of her life that she had kept to herself.
While chilling with her fellow co-stars, the TV personality was asked about her views on polygamy and what she would tell her younger self about it. The conversation came up after Nonku revealed that the man she’s currently seeing has another woman in his life but is considering a polygamous marriage.
The complexities of polygamy

When answering the question, LaConco first mentioned what her type is. “I feel like a type is a journey. You can’t meet someone and be like wena you’re actually my type.” She added: “I’m very good at that, it has been a challenge with me because when I meet you I tell you I’m not going to be sexual because I mean, look at me. I’m not sure, are you here for the bum … what are you here for?” LaConco has to gauge people.
After separating from the father of her child, a former South African head of state, LaConco is still on a journey of finding herself. “I’ve been with that man the longest and I was a virgin, I was young…” Going into the pros and cons of polygamy, she told the ladies: “When you are into a polygamy relationship or marriage you are agreeing to a system.” She said hers was worse.
Finding love after a high-profile relationship

“So, you deal with your person that brought you to the system, then you deal with the wives. Everyone wants to think they’re important or what. Then you deal with the kids, then you deal with the girlfriends that are hoping they’ll be married one day.” LaConco also revealed that one has to deal with extended family and also deal with the country.
“Women must not be naive and think ‘no because he loves me I’m just marrying in’. No…”
Is she open to finding love again? “I know I will find love. But now finding love is like more, you see, now it’s different because there’s my son that I have to take care of,” she said.
Although she wants to fall in love again, her dating journey has been challenging. According to her, men are intimidated because of who she’s been with.
