
Meet the colourful crew of Headspace
In the action-packed world of Headspace, three tiny alien heroes team up with Norman and his band of high school misfits to save the Earth from an evil intergalactic villain. Between keeping their extraterrestrial allies under wraps and facing off against an evil mastermind, these quirky teens have their hands full — oh, and did we mention high school drama?
At its heart, Headspace isn’t just a fun adventure — it’s a story about unlikely heroes rising to the occasion with a little help from their friends.
Let’s meet the colourful characters behind the chaos:
The human crew
High school life just got a whole lot weirder for this bunch of misfits who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances.
Norman – The Hero

Norman’s a science nerd whose life takes a turn when aliens invade his brain. Awkward but brilliant, Norman must balance his new secret with the pressures of typical teenage life, including his crush on Charlene and the struggle to hand in homework on time. That’s a lot for anyone. Played by Bonko Khoza from The Wife and Red Ink.
Charlene – The Class President

Norman’s crush and unofficial girlfriend, Charlene, is the glue that holds him together. She’s the moral compass of the group, and her role as class president keeps her busy when she's not pulling Norman out of trouble. Nelisa Ngcobo of The Queen and Gomora fame brings Charlene to life.
Alejandro – The Vlogger

Aspiring director, musical buff, and the kid who can’t help but get involved, Alejandro is fiercely loyal and always ready for action—even if he’s not exactly built for it.
Frankie – The Hacker

Frankie is the brains of the operation, with zero patience for nonsense. This self-taught hacker speaks only when necessary, but when she does, it’s straight to the point. Michelle du Plessis nails this tech-savvy introvert.
Mike – The Reformed Bully

Mike’s got a tough exterior, but he’s trying to leave his bully days behind. When the alien invasion kicks off, he’s thrown into the action and finally gets to prove he’s more than just muscle.
The Villains: Principal Witherington / Zolthard

Running Hubble Bay High like her own personal empire, Principal Witherington hands out detentions like they’re going out of style. When intergalactic baddie Zolthard takes control of her mind, things get seriously out of hand. Zak Hendrikz delivers a double dose of villainy as the power-hungry principal and the microscopic evil mastermind.

Max – The Captain

Max is the grizzled veteran of the alien crew. He likes to keep things low-key but always ends up in the thick of it. Despite his gruff exterior, he has a softer side that he’d rather not admit. Chris van Rensburg stars as the alien detective who’s seen it all.
Gus – The Brains

Gus is the go-to guy for all things tech, disassembling and rebuilding gadgets with ease. Just don’t expect him to focus for too long—he’s too busy geeking out over the latest tech marvel.
Sophie – The Badass

Small but deadly, Sophie is an alien martial arts master who doesn’t mess around. With zero tolerance for mistakes, she’s the crew’s muscle. Jana Louw, fresh off a Naledi Award nomination, plays this pint-sized powerhouse.
