Showmax Switch Campaign: Terms and Conditions

• These Switch Campaign Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) shall apply to you and Showmax when you accept the Showmax limited offer and purchase a subscription product to the Showmax Service such as the Showmax Entertainment (All Devices), Entertainment Mobile, Premier League Mobile (the “Subscription Product”) at a 20% (twenty per cent) discount of the normal price, for a period of up to 12 months per customer from the date of redemption (hereinafter referred to as “Switch Fan Promo”). 

• The Switch Fan Promo is a limited time-based offer that is being offered to you from: 

• 15 April 2024 until 30 April 2025 if you are based in Nigeria or South Africa; and, 
• 24 May 2024 until 30 April 2025 if you are based in Kenya. 

(the “Promo Period”). 

• Please read these Terms carefully. By purchasing the Switch Fan Promo, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and agree to abide by and to be bound by these Terms. 

• These Terms are supplementary to and shall be read together with: 

a. depending on your location of access in Africa to the Showmax Service, the Showmax Terms and Conditions  

b. the Showmax Privacy Policy; and 

c. Terms of Use. 

• The “Showmax Service” refers to the service offered by Showmax which is the trade name and trademark proprietary to: 

(i)Showmax SA (Proprietary) Limited in South Africa; or  

(ii) M-SAT Nigeria Limited in Nigeria; or  

(iii) Showmax Africa Holdings Limited in Kenya or the rest of Africa 

(hereinafter referred to as “Showmax”); 

• The Showmax Service can be accessed through an application or a website allowing the subscriber to access Live TV, Video-On-Demand (VOD) film, series and kids content on selected devices. 

• “You”, “your” and/or “customer” refers to the person who accepts and purchases Switch Fan Promo on the basis of these Terms. 

General Information 

• The Switch Promo is valid and available in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria for the Promo Period only. 

• During the Promo Period eligible prospective and existing customers can enjoy a 20% discount to their selected Subscription Product to the Showmax Service. 

• To qualify for the Switch Fan Promo, customers must meet the following requirements: 

• Existing Showmax Service customers (prepaid or/and recurring) who have been selected by Showmax and have received correspondence from Showmax making the Switch Fan Promo offer to them. The offer is non-transferrable; it is only redeemable by the customer that has accepted the Showmax offer. 

• Such selected Showmax customers are required to add and use a recurring payment instrument on their Subscription Product account during the Promo Period and pay for the Showmax Service in accordance with these terms and conditions of the Switch Promo. 

• When purchasing the offer, the 20% discount will be provided to you in a voucher code that you will have to redeem on the Showmax Service account on the first payment, in order to enjoy the discount for a 12-month period on a recurring basis. It must be noted that the 20% discount will be applied to the relevant Subscription Product pricing, as amended from time to time. 

• You must use the same payment instrument that you use when taking up or accepting this offer throughout the Promo Period;  

• If you change to another payment instrument within the Promo Period, you will forfeit the discount and you will be billed the normal retail price for the Subscription Product. 

• Eligible customers are required to be resident and take up the offer in either of the following participating countries; South Africa, Nigeria or Kenya. 

• Ineligible customers are: 

•  customers who did not receive the offer directly from Showmax; and  

• customers who have already accessed/purchased the Switch Fan Promo during the Promo Period. 

• The price discount calculation is rounded up to whole numbers, always to the benefit of a customer. 

Miscellaneous 

• Showmax reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for the Switch Fan Promo. 

• Unless otherwise extended, this version of the Terms applies for the Promo Period. 

• Showmax reserves the right at any time and for any reason to terminate the Switch Fan Promo. 

• Showmax will process your personal information for the purpose of your participation in the Switch Fan Promo as recorded in these Terms and to provide services relating to your subscription to the Showmax Service as more fully described in the Showmax Privacy Policy which you can find at www.showmax.com. The Showmax Privacy Policy is updated from time to time, and it explains how we treat your personal information, who we share your information with, and measures taken to protect your privacy when you use the Showmax Service.
