AboMkhulu (2023)
Childhood friends Mahooks, Taozen and Shishi spent 30 years in jail for a crime they did not commit during the South African liberation struggle. Finally free again, they set out on a hilarious journey into the new South Africa, determined to find home and make up for lost time.
Jeffrey Sekele (Isibaya), Sello Sebotsane (Rockville, Saints and Sinners) and John Lata (Ring of Lies) play Mahooks, Taozen and Shishi respectively. Khojane Morai (Isithembiso), Simphiwe Ngema (The Queen) and multi-award-winner Lettie Lebogang (DiepCity) co-star.
AboMkhulu is directed by Star Mphahlele and produced by Pula Bakgaga Media (Love Heist).
