Bob ❤️ Abishola is an Emmy-nominated romcom about Bob Wheeler, a middle-aged American sock businessman, and his Nigerian immigrant nurse Abishola Bolatito Doyinsola Oluwatoyin Odegbami.
Nigerian actress Folake Olowofoyeku, who we’ll see in The Lion King prequel Mufasa later this year, was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series at the Image Awards as Abishola.
Now in its fifth and final season, Bob ❤️ Abishola is created by multiple Emmy nominees Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory) and Alan J Higgins (The Kominsky Method), Emmy winner Eddie Gorodetsky (Two and a Half Men), and British-Nigerian comedian Gina Yashere, who also plays Abishola’s best friend, Kemi.
