Critics Choice nominee Adam Pally (Max in Happy Endings, Wade in Sonic the Hedgehog franchise) stars in Mr Throwback as a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who seeks redemption by reuniting with his childhood teammate: NBA legend Stephen Curry, playing himself.
Saturday Night Live’s Ego Nwodim co-stars in the mockumentary series, which has an 86% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Paste calls Mr Throwback “warm, resonant and funny”, saying Curry “proves that he can do more than, well, be one of the greatest athletes of this century. He’s funny, too.”
