Terms and Conditions

The “3 for the price of 1 Campaign” (hereinafter referred to as a “3 for 1 Campaign”) terms and conditions specified below are supplementary to the Showmax terms and conditions – Global and apply to the use of the Showmax Service during the Campaign Period (7 October 2022 and 10 November 2022).

Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

1.    General Information

1.1.      The 3 for 1 Campaign is applicable in Nigeria; it is in relation to the Showmax GE subscription plan (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Showmax Subscription”).

1.2.       The Campaign Period is the period 7 October 2022 to 10 November 2022.

1.3.   You can enjoy the 3 For 1 Campaign by subscribing to the Showmax Service during the Campaign Period.

1.4.    The 3 for 1 Campaign Showmax Service customers are eligible for a free Showmax Service trial (“Free Trial”).

1.5.    The 3 for 1 Campaign applies to new Showmax Service customers using any recurring payment instrument and customers who are eligible as stated in paragraph 2 (3 for 1 Campaign Customer Eligibility).

2.    3 for 1 Campaign customer eligibility

The 3 for 1 Campaign is available to customers who meet one of the following requirements:

2.1.      Customers who have never used or subscribed to the Showmax Service.

2.2.  Existing Showmax Service customers who have never saved or added a payment instrument on their Showmax Service account; who add/save a payment instrument to their Showmax Service account within the Campaign Period; and pay for the Showmax Service in accordance with these terms and conditions of the 3 for 1 Campaign.

2.3.      Former Showmax Service customers who stopped using the Showmax Service recently/before the commencement of the 3 for 1 Campaign can enjoy the 3 for 1 Campaign.

2.4.      Selected Existing Showmax Service customers (i) who subscribed using a recurring payment instrument/method, and/or (ii) who have not enjoyed a Showmax Free Trial.

3.         3 for 1 Campaign Customer Ineligibility

3.1.    Customers who have taken up the Mastercard 2-year 10% Discount on a recurring Mastercard Card (the Loyalty Campaign) during the Campaign Period, are ineligible for the 3 for 1 Campaign. Customers who have taken up the Loyalty Campaign and thereafter add the 3 for 1 Campaign code to their Showmax Service Account, will automatically have their eligibility for the 10% reduction under the Loyalty Campaign removed from their Showmax Service account.

4.         3 for 1 Campaign Limitations

4.1.    Customers are not permitted to simultaneously enjoy the benefits of the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign.

4.2.        The 3 for 1 Campaign is offered for a maximum of 1 offer. Customers are not permitted to stack (only one 3 for 1 Campaign discount per user/customer allowed) 3 for 1 Campaign benefits.

5.         Pricing, Payments & Voucher Codes

5.1.  The 3 for 1 Campaign is linked to a noteworthy/special fixed once-off price for the Showmax standard plan:

The price discount calculation is rounded up to whole numbers, always to the benefit of a customer.

5.2.  The 3 for 1 Campaign is set up for monthly recurring payments by default (if you have selected a recurring payment instrument), unless you opted out. Certain payment methods do not support the opt-out option from the recurring payments, in such cases in order to prevent monthly recurring payments you need to unsubscribe before the end of the Campaign Period.  

5.3.      The voucher code is NG3for1.

6.         Miscellaneous

6.1.  We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for the 3 for 1 Campaign.

6.2.  Unless otherwise stated, the Showmax terms and conditions – Global shall remain in full force and effect to Showmax service.

6.3. In case of discrepancy between these terms and Showmax terms and conditions – Global, the provisions of these terms will prevail.

6.4.  Unless otherwise extended, this version of Showmax service terms and conditions applies for the Campaign Period.

6.5.   We reserve the right at any time and for any reason to terminate the 3 for 1 Campaign. 

6.6.    This version of the 3 for 1 Campaign Terms and Conditions applies from 7 October 2022 to 10 November 2022.
