Showmax makes live news channels available to stream in Nigeria
Showmax subscribers can now keep up with the conversation ahead of the 2023 Nigerian General Elections on popular Nigerian television channels streaming live on Showmax.
In the run-up to the elections, AIT, Arise News, Channels Television, NTA international, and Silverbird Television are available to live stream on Showmax.
Showmax subscribers will be able to follow all the election updates in real-time, as well as the conversation on hit shows like The Morning Show with Dr Reuben Abati, Ayo Mairo-Ese and Rufai Oseni on Arise TV, and Politics Today with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV.
The 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election is scheduled for February 23 while the gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections will be held on March 11.
In addition to live news channels, Showmax subscribers also enjoy the best of Showmax Originals, including the recently launched telenovela Wura, as well as Flawsome, Crime and Justice Lagos and thriller Diiche. Showmax is also set to launch The Real Housewives of Abuja on February 17.
Aside from local content, Showmax is also home to the best HBO shows including Emmy-winning fan favourites such as Euphoria, The Handmaid’s Tale, Succession, Game of Thrones and its prequel House of the Dragon, and HBO’s latest smash-hit sci-fi series The Last of Us.
