Showmax Nigerian Originals bag 22 nominations at the 9th AMVCAs
Showmax Nigerian originals, The Real Housewives of Lagos, Crime and Justice Lagos, Diiche, Flawsome, and Wura have been nominated for 22 awards in the 9th edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
The nominations were announced on Africa Magic Channels on Sunday, 16th April by the popular actor and lead cast of Flawsome, Bisola Aiyeola, and actor, Adjetey Anang, alongside kid actors, Jasmine Olarotimi and Nifemi Lawal.

The 9th edition of the prestigious award is set to hold in Lagos on the 20th of May 2023.
Limited Series, Diiche takes the lead with 6 nominations in 6 categories, including Best TV Series (James Omokwe), Best Writer (Sodi Kurubo, Stephanie Dadet & Victor Aghahowa), Best Art Director (Uche Nwaohiri & Tunde Lawal), Best Lighting Designer (Francis Wanyahdeh & Ebuka Enejere), Best Picture Editor (Banjo Onyekachi, Winston Aig-Ohioma, Oluwaseun Adeosun), Best Cinematographer (Charles Oleghe) and Best Director (Tolu Ajayi, Fiyin Gambo, Ifeoma Chukwuogo, James Omokwe).

Crime and Justice Lagos bagged 5 nominations in various categories, Best TV Series (Yinka Edward), Best Art Director (Pat Nebo & Temple Chima Adighije), Best Lighting Designer (Francis Wanyahdeh), Best Picture Editor (Holmes Awa & Daniel Tom) and Best Cinematographer (Yinka Edward).
Flawsome received 5 nominations in 4 categories, Best Actress in a Drama (Enado Odigie and Ini Dima-Okojie), Best TV Series (Tola Odunsi & Akin Akinkugbe), Best Lighting Designer (Segun Adeleke), and Best Cinematography (Idowu Adedapo (Mr. Views).

The Real Housewives of Lagos bagged nominations in 4 categories, Best TV Series (Deola Art-Alade & Dare Art Alade), Best Costume Designer (Deola Art-Alade), Best Lighting Designer (Renaldo Van Den Berg, Emmanuel Patrick, David Otuokere) and Best Cinematographer (Mex Ossai, Philip Okpokoro, Esmond Igho, KC Obiajulu, Goke Oyerinde).
Original Telenovela Wura (Scarlet Gomez) also bagged a nomination in the Best Actress in a Drama category, going against Enado Odiche and Ini Dima-Okojie (Flawsome).
