The Mommy Club S1: Will Mrs Mops and Ms Manche's friendship survive their first fight?
Is it too soon to tell if the friendships built so far on The Mommy Club will last or not? If episode 3 is anything to go by, the ladies’ connection isn’t concrete yet. Mrs Mops and Ms Manche, who gravitated towards each other at the beginning of the season, had their first misunderstanding, which left Ms Manche wondering if they’ll be able to move past it.
Another wild comment
The two mommies had a lunch date that was meant to be a nice outing for them. Mrs Mops brought up the cake-licking situation that took place at Nunurai’s son’s birthday. She went on to call what Ms Manche’s son did “a little wild”. These are the same words that were used by Happy to describe the five-year-old and got Ms Manche upset, of course.
“What do you mean? But he’s a toddler,” Ms Manche said. She added that her child is still a toddler. Mrs Mops just didn’t agree with the young boy’s actions and said he should know right from wrong. Ms Manche replied: “No, he doesn’t. That’s why his mom has to tell him right from wrong.”
Ms Manche’s children are off limits
She was visibly upset and stood up, spilled water on Mrs Mops and walked away. “I was not expecting that,” Mrs Mops said. Ms Manche just didn’t feel comfortable with her children always becoming a topic of discussion among her co-stars. “You guys are always talking about my children. Nobody’s children are spoken about, only my children. Why are you guys picking on me? I don’t understand.”
At first, Mrs Mops felt that her new friend was overreacting but followed her to apologise. The ladies made up and went back to their lunch table. While they kissed and made up, Ms Manche can’t help but wonder if that situation will define their friendship going forward.
“I’m now concerned if Mrs Mops and I will make it through this tiff. If we make it, we make it. If we don’t, we don’t.” She said the friendship isn’t that deep yet. “We still need to develop. And I’ve been warned by my family that I shouldn’t love easily. So, I’m listening to their advice,” Ms Manche shared.
