WATCH: A sneak peek of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3
Every Monday from 10 June 2019, a brand-new episode of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 will land on Showmax, express from the US broadcast. As we can see from the trailer, June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) is ready to take her fight for the resistance to the very top of Gilead’s upper echelons, with the help of some powerful allies – who seem to include Nick (no surprises there); Commander Lawrence, who was instrumental in the remarkable events of the finale of Season 2, and of whom it seems we’re going to see a lot more in the upcoming season; and Mrs Waterford (somewhat surprising, considering the enormous sacrifice June convinced her to make at the end of Season 2). This is your mission: binge-watch Seasons 1 and 2 on Showmax while you wait for the next stage of the revolution. And while you’re at it, check out the 1990 feature film starring Natasha Richardson, which is also on Showmax. Did you know? The Testaments, Margaret Atwood’s sequel to her feminist dystopian novel from 1985, which was adapted into the first season of The Handmaid’s Tale, will be published around the world in September this year. Her inspiration for the sequel, Atwood says, was readers’ questions about the inner workings of Gilead, as well as “the world we’ve been living in”. Start streaming The Handmaid’s Tale Seasons 1 and 2 now, and don’t miss the brand-new weekly episodes of Season 3, arriving from 10 June 2019.
