The much-anticipated ninth season of Africa’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, has officially launched and is now streaming live on Showmax. Dubbed BBNaija: No Loose Guard, this season promises to deliver unparalleled entertainment with a fresh twist - the housemates are competing in pairs! The action unfolds live around the clock streaming on Showmax.
In addition to the live coverage of Big Brother Naija Season 9, Showmax is excited to bring back BBNaija: The Buzz – the talk show hosted by Toke Makinwa. Premiering on Thursday, 1 August 2024, The Buzz will feature Toke’s candid commentary, guest appearances, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the BBNaija house. New episodes of The Buzz will be available only on Showmax with new episodes every Thursday, offering fans an in-depth look at the juiciest moments from the show.
Meet the BBNaija Season 9 Housemates
The Zinwe Pair: Chinwe Elibe and Zion Ogiefa

Chinwe Elibe, 30, from Imo State, is a graduate of Igbinedion University Okada. With her vibrant energy, she brings a passion for art and making money to the BBNaija house. She plays alongside her romantic partner, Zion Ogiefa, 27, a graduate of Trinity University of Asia from Edo State. Zion, who shares her enthusiasm for sports, fashion, and modelling.
The Radicals: Fairme David and Michky

Meet Fairme David, a 29-year-old from Delta/Warri, ready to make an impact in the Big Brother Naija house. A graduate of the University of Abuja, Fairme enjoys dancing, hiking, football, video games, etc. His partner, Michky the Great, is a 24-year-old dancing sensation from Edo State and a graduate of the University of Calabar, combining his love for dancing with a commitment to fitness. Both Fairme and Michky share mutual interests in fitness and are virgins, adding a unique dimension to their dynamic duo.
The Floruish Pair: Flora Chiedo and Ruth Akpan

Flora Chiedo, 26, from Imo State, graduated from Knutsford University in Ghana. She loves partying, listening to music, and eating. Flora is joined by her friend of 10 years, Ruth Akpan. Ruth, 32, from Akwa Ibom State, also graduated from Knutsford University. Together, Flora and Ruth are excited to bring their lively energy, culinary skills, and travel stories to the BBNaija platform.
The Aces: Joseph Bassey Christopher and Samuel Osuji

Joseph Bassey Christopher, 24, from Akwa Ibom, is a student at Mountain Top University with interests in hosting, running, public speaking, and designing clothes. He enters the house with his friend Samuel Osuji. Samuel, 23, from Imo State, is also a student at Babcock University, with a passion for American football. The duo, who have been friends for a year, are ready for the ultimate challenge and plan to be unpredictable.
The Shatoria Pair: Victoria Onyenwere Uchechi and Shaun Okojie

Victoria Onyenwere Uchechi, 25, from Imo State, is a student at the National Open University. She loves travelling, going to the gym, and is a foodie. Her friend Shaun Okojie, 28, from Edo State, is a graduate of Bedfordshire University and enjoys sports. Together, they bring a dynamic presence to the Big Brother Naija house.
The Wanni X Handi Pair: Handi Danbaki and Wanni Danbaki

Meet Handi Danbaki, a 27-year-old DJ and dancer from Kaduna. A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Handi is set to bring her groove to the BBNaija house, entering with her twin sister, Wanni Danbaki, 27, also from Kaduna. Wanni loves dancing and meeting new people. As identical twins and graduates of Ahmadu Bello University, Handi and Wanni are poised to make a big impact in the house.
The Ndinne Pair: Precious Chiamaka Nwafor and Mary Nneamaka Nwafor

Precious Chiamaka Nwafor, 31, from Anambra State, is a graduate of Anambra State University. She enters the house with her niece, Mary Nneamaka Nwafor, 22, a student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. Mary enjoys reading, researching, and playing basketball. Both Precious and Mary are set for an unforgettable experience in the Big Brother house.
The Tami Pair: Damilola Eniola Ojo and Oluwatoyosi Precious Bakare

Damilola Eniola Ojo, 28, from Osun State, is a graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic. She enjoys partying, movies. Damilola enters the house with her friend, Oluwatoyosi Precious Bakare. Oluwatoyosi, 26, from Osun State, is a graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. She loves movies, music, and painting and hopes to explore her creativity in the BBNaija house.
The Mbadiwe Twins: Oseloka Ocee Mbadiwe and Ozumba Ozee Mbadiwe

Oseloka Ocee Mbadiwe, 37, from Imo State, brings his athleticism and social skills to the BBNaija house. A graduate of the University of Hertfordshire and the Nigerian Law School, Oseloka enjoys working out, football, socialising, and entertaining. He is in the house with his brother, Ozumba Ozee Mbadiwe, also 37. Ozumba is a graduate of the University of Bradford and the Nigerian Law School. Both brothers share interests which might serve as a strategic advantage.
The Beta Pair: Tunji Adeniji Soji and Benjamin Eseoghene Olufemi

Tunji Adeniji Soji, 34, from Ogun State, is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University. His interests include running and reading. He enters the house with his friend, Benjamin Eseoghene Olufemi. Benjamin, 29, from Ekiti/Delta State, is a graduate of Afe Babalola University and enjoys partying. The shared interest in BBNaija, which sparked their friendship on social media, might give them an edge in the house.
The Nelita Pair: Nnenna Mbonu and Anita Ukah

Nnenna Mbonu, 29, from Abia State, is a graduate of ISCG University in Benin Republic. She loves cooking, dancing, travelling, and meeting new people. Anita Ukah, 28, from Imo State, is a graduate of Igbinedion University and the University of Chester, UK. Anita enjoys dancing, healthcare, and travelling. We look forward to seeing what this dynamic duo brings to the Big Brother Naija Season 9 house.
The Double Kay Pair: Kingsley Sule and Kassia Sule

Kingsley Sule, 33, from Delta State, brings his fun-loving spirit to the BBNaija house. A graduate of Delta University, Kingsley enjoys music, movies, and anything fun. He enters with his wife, Kassia Sule. Kassia, 30, also from Delta State, is a graduate of Delta State Polytechnic and loves movies. The couple, who met eleven years ago, will keep their marital status hidden in the house, adding a twist to the show this season.
The Streeze Pair: Ogunyemi Oluwatobi Feyishola aka Toby Forge and Mayowa Adewumi

Toby Forge, 27, from Ondo State, is a graduate of the University of Lagos (Unilag). Toby loves dancing, food, basketball, and movies. He enters the house with his close friend of three years, Mayowa Adewumi. Mayowa, 25, from Oyo State, is a graduate of Caleb University. His interests include movies, travelling, working out, and content creation. With Toby by his side, Mayowa is set for an unforgettable experience this season.
The Onyeka and Chizoba Pair: Onyeka Chigbo and Chizoba Chigbo

Onyeka Chigbo, 28, from Anambra State, is a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She enters the house with her sister, Chizoba. Onyeka's interests include dancing, swimming, yoga, and acting. Chizoba, 31, also from Anambra State is a graduate of Imo State University, and adds new dimensions to the BBNaija Season 9 game as part of a family duo.
