"It's been a bold and fearless season." Phil Bresson on Single Kiasi S2, now available to binge
All thirteen episodes of Single Kiasi season two are now available to binge on Showmax.
This new season has topped the Showmax charts and has been among the top 10 most-watched titles on the streaming platform every week since its premiere in January. “I always have to pinch myself. There is no greater feeling than seeing your work about Kenyans being loved by Kenyans,” says director Grace Kahaki.
For Kahaki, the immense love the second season has also received from fans on Twitter has been overwhelming. “Twitter is the best; it’s been amazing to see our show loved by people, not only from Kenya, but all across the continent. We have people in South Africa, Nigeria, and Namibia talking about the show and this makes us feel really appreciated.”

Philip Bresson, who co-directed both seasons of Single Kiasi with Kahaki, describes season two as a “bold and fearless season with great visual storytelling and fantastic production design.”
“Season two was a challenging adventure; the writers gave us such brilliant work to use. Phil and I, and the actors pushed ourselves and I can say season two has outdone season one,” says Kahaki.
While season one was about the ladies leaning on each other as their romantic relationships fell apart, the second season has been about them embarking on their individual journeys as they attempt to figure out their different lives, and along the way, their close bonds of friendship have been threatened.
When it comes to relationships, Single Kiasi season two was as messy and as dramatic as the dating scene in Nairobi can be, from Sintamei’s (Gathoni Mutua) surprising throuple situationship to Rebecca’s (Faith Kibathi) dalliances with her professor to Mariah’s (Minne Kariuki) sugar daddy escapades that came back to haunt her in the most unexpected way.

There were some new welcomed additions to the cast like Joy Kendi and Kagwe Mungui both making cameos, not to mention Grace Wacuka, Ian Mbugua, Fidel Maithya, Mufasa Kibet and Quincy Rapando.
In the end, Single Kiasi season two proved to be what it has always been – a story about three women in Nairobi just trying to figure out this thing called life, and maybe love. Sometimes, they win, and sometimes, as the finale proves, they lose.
Binge all 13 episodes of Single Kiasi S2 on Showmax.
