The Mommy Club S1: Ms Manche and Happy iron things out after a "wild" moment
When you don’t like something you address it, right? Ms Manche definitely believes in this statement and she’s not about to let anyone disrespect her or her children. Unimpressed with Happy’s actions at a recent birthday party hosted by Nunurai, the mother of three decided to call her to the side to clear the air.
Ms Manche didn’t like the fact that Happy called her son “wild” after he licked cake at the first birthday party they were all invited to. “I’m not saying what he did was right, right? That’s why I scolded him. But for you to call my child ‘wild’, I did not like it,” Ms Manche told Happy during their private conversation at Mrs Mops’ backyard high tea.

She said she would never use that word to describe one of Happy’s kids. “When it comes to my children, please, please do not refer to them as ‘wild’. I’m not controlling your words but when it comes to my children, please, please never say things like that again.” Ms Manche expressed that that comment hurt her. “And the fact that he was there. So, he could hear that. I didn’t like that.”
While Ms Manche was rightfully offended, Happy didn’t mean it that way. “It didn’t come from a bad place,” she explained. According to her, Ms Manche is overreacting because “it’s not that deep”. She told her that she was excited because of Noah’s (Ms Manche’s son) long tongue. “I was born with a tongue-tie. I had to go for an operation so that they can loosen up my tongue. At some point I couldn’t, you know, articulate properly,” she said.

She added: “I was just excited when I saw a small baby sticking out his tongue on a cake like that... Hence, my reaction, ‘oh my God, that is wild’.” Happy wasn’t referring to wild in a negative way. “I will never refer to such a cute son as an animal or wild.” After that heartfelt conversation, the two mommies hugged it out and all was well again in mommy land
“I still feel that maybe she’s still not 100 percent okay with the incident. But I didn’t mean any harm,” Happy said in her diary session.
At least the ladies sorted that issue out. Will their relationship grow stronger? Only time will tell. Watch new episodes of The Mommy Club every Monday on Showmax.
