The Real Housewives of Lagos S2 reunion lands on 27 March 2024

Showmax has announced that the much-anticipated reunion of The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, 27 March 2024.

Adding to the excitement, media personality Latasha Ngwube has been revealed as the host. Ngwube will guide viewers through an interesting reunion, promising plenty of drama, surprises, and candid conversations with the cast.

“I'm delighted to dive into the fabulous world of excitement and drama these ladies have created," she said.

With a media career spanning two decades, Latasha is a seasoned lifestyle journalist renowned for her work with ThisDay Style, Vanguard Allure, BellaNaija, Linda Ikeji Tv, and as the founding editor of The Will Downtown. Latasha also orchestrated the first-ever size-inclusive runway show at Lagos Fashion Week, a groundbreaking event that garnered international attention from CNN, BBC, and Euronews. In 2022, she joined the 80th Golden Globes Awards non-member voting committee till date, becoming one of the first Africans to ever do so.

When asked what viewers should expect, she said, “As the first woman to ever host The Real Housewives reunion in Africa and as a huge fan of the show, getting to discuss some of my favourite moments and ask those burning questions thrills me. Expect it all! Big fashion! Laughter and emotions as we unpack the glamour, drama, and everything in an unforgettable Season 2!”

Set in one of Africa’s most cosmopolitan cities, Season 2 of the show saw two new Housewives - fashion entrepreneur Tania Omotayo and former model and socialite Faith Morey — join the original cast, which included popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo plus celebrity designer and stylist Toyin Lawani Adebayo. Rounding off the list of accomplished socialites are businesswomen Chioma Ikokwu, Laura Ikeji-Kanu and Mariam Timmer.

Speaking on the choice of Latasha as host of the RHOLagos Season 2 reunion, Dr Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice, said, “Latasha has been a pillar of Nigerian pop culture for many years now, making her the perfect host to spark engaging conversations among the ladies. With her vibrant energy and insightful approach, this reunion is set to be unforgettable."

In this reunion episode, fans will get to see the ladies get together to discuss the highs and lows that defined RHOLagos Season 2. The reunion will also provide a platform for the Housewives to address rumours, clarify misconceptions, and express their unfiltered feelings about their fellow cast members.

One of the questions fans will want to know is if Mariam and Toyin’s friendship will be restored following their fall-out in Ile-Ife. Another anticipated moment is seeing the ladies confront Dr Rommel over some of the allegations made during the season finale. He accused Faith of coming up with a strategy and being a “pathological liar”. He managed to divide the ladies into camps throughout the season.

Having premiered exclusively on Showmax in September 2023, The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 2 debut set new first-day streaming records on Showmax in Nigeria, beating out Season 1 to claim the top spot as the most-watched Original on day one of its local release. This season of the hit show also earned a nomination at the 10th edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) for Best Unscripted Series.

The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 2 reunion will be available exclusively on the new Showmax app from Wednesday, 27 March 2024.
