Empini Season 1 episodes 21-22 recap: Crossing the line
This week on Empini, Jabulani faces heartbreak, Masasa's household is turned upside down, and Uhuru steps into a new role with major repercussions. Panic ensues at MPS, and Ndoni gets a chance to prove herself with a high-stakes client. Here’s the recap.
Ndoni and Jabulani’s complicated relationship

Ndoni pulls back just before things get too hot with Jabulani, who leaves hurt. She avoids his calls and texts, and when they finally talk, she admits she’s scared that crossing that line could ruin their friendship.
Winnie’s demands

Winnie orders Thobani to clean up Enoch’s water scandal, but Thobani resists, claiming it’s not MPS’s job. Little does she know, Thobani leaked the scandal under the General’s orders!
Uhuru takes charge

At MPS, Nosipho shocks everyone by announcing Uhuru as the new CEO. The press questions his credentials, especially his link to the NIA run by his father. Even Winnie is fuming, suspecting the General’s dirty hands in this power grab.
Masasa’s household meltdown

Masasa’s husband, Mzoxolo, returns home to find Khaya, supposedly a “long-lost cousin” shacked up with his family. He’s not buying it. Khaya, meanwhile, learns all MPS government contracts have been cancelled.
The general’s new strategy

The General is blindsided by the government cancelling MPS contracts, especially on Uhuru’s first day as CEO. He instructs Uhuru to secure Pastor Shenge as a client for MPS to stabilise the company.
Ndoni’s new client

Pastor Shenge insists on Ndoni being his personal bodyguard despite his questionable reputation with women. He demands she wear a more attractive uniform, making Ndoni uneasy, but it’s a deal MPS can’t afford to lose.
Family secrets explode

Masasa is desperate to keep Zenzele's parentage a secret. Things blow up when Mzoxolo finds Masasa and Khaya holding hands, forcing Masasa to confess. Betrayed, Mzoxolo storms out, possibly for good.
Uhuru and Nosi’s growing bond

While other couples are fighting, Uhuru and Nosi grow closer. While his start at MPS was rocky, on the home front things are heating up!
