Flawsome episode 12 recap: “This guy decides to break up with me via email”

In Flawsome episode 12, many things are happening around Ifeyinwa. There is the corporate tussle over her father’s company, her quarrel with her mum and her budding relationship with Nathan. In today’s episode of Flawsome, they discuss the first two. Ifeyinwa, who is in high spirits, mentions they have landed a partner for the streaming platform they are working in. Nathan asks about her father’s company.

“I want to start my own thing,” Ifeyinwa replies. “This is a good opportunity for both of us, you need to blow and I need to make my own name.”

Nathan doesn’t really share her enthusiasm, but he plays along. “What does your mother think about you leaving your company?” he asks, stressing about her importance in this matter and her yearning for a relationship with her daughter. Ifeyinwa narrates a story countering Nathan’s point, stating they are not on the same page.

Elsewhere, Ivie is actually experiencing some bad motherhood, a mum and her sister visit after she’s mildly electrocuted. However, her mum’s focus is how ugly her oufits are. Later, she asks Ivie to advise her sister who is now becoming like her: jobless and unremarkable. Ivie’s sister resigned from her job to pursue some serenity and their mother is angry about the whole thing.

“I am worried about your sister,” she starts.  “But seeing as you have had a bit of experience with pain and hardship as a result of living an unfocused life feel like you’re in the best position to talk sense into your sister.”

Instead of doing what their mum wants, the sisters have a heart to heart about their lives.

Back at Ifeyinwa’s, while she is prepping for their meeting with a potential partner for their business, she calls Nathan only to find out he is in a studio and won’t show up. He cowardly lets his manager do the explaining, and she categorically says he won’t be attending. Ifeyinwa is shook but that’s just the beginning of her midday nightmare.

Nathan follows his cowardice with an email saying he wants to break up with her! Watch Flawsome episode 12 and more on Showmax.
