The Real Housewives of Durban Season 3: Is Maria trying to dethrone Sorisha?
Is Sorisha the head housewife in charge in The Real Housewives of Durban Season 3? Well, Maria Valaskatzis seems to think so. And you know what? She’s prepared to put one of Durban’s most loved housewives in her place. It’s only the beginning and Maria already has a lot of things she doesn’t like about Sorisha, which she makes very clear in episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Durban Season 3.
It all started at Jojo’s princess-themed event when the show premiered. Maria didn’t like the fact that Sorisha put Nonku in the spotlight when she asked her to repeat something she had said about Annie in her absence. This was obviously a private conversation between Sorisha and Nonku, and Nonku wanted to speak to Annie in her own time.
Maria is not impressed with Sorisha
However, Sorisha saw Jojo’s event as an opportunity to address things, even though she didn’t reveal all the details.
Now Maria feels as though Sorisha needs to understand that she’s not the ringleader. She had a conversation with her friend about the event, where she revealed that she had an amazing time. However, she wasn’t impressed with Sorisha’s behaviour.

She told him on episode 2 of the hit reality show: “I was so happy to have met the ladies. Just the way it ended, though, it left me feeling so unsettled…” Maria and her friend then brought up that moment when Sorisha addressed Nonku, and mentioned how they’d never heard or seen her with such authority, and she looked kind of angry.

There’s a new queen bee in town?
“I don’t think that it should have been done in such a public space,” Maria said. She also had a couple of questions for Sorisha, who’s been on the show since the first season. “Was she trying to prove a point that she has authority over the group? Was she the mommy of this group?”
Maria wants it to be known that there can’t be just one queen in Durban. “Sorisha feels that she’s the queen of this group and, quite frankly, darling, you’re not. As much as she’s thinking she’s queen, I am too, darling,” she said.
Maria didn’t like the fact that Sorisha kept speaking over her at Jojo’s event. “She spoke over me, she spoke away from me like I didn’t exist.”

Is it so hard for the ladies to co-exist? That’s what it looks like so far.
Maria had a similar conversation about Sorisha with Nonku, Jojo and Mbali. Even Nonku concluded that Sorisha is a “hypocrite” because she would have never treated Annie the way she treated her.
