Strategic ships and double trouble twins on The Buzz episode 3
It was an intense week in the BBNaija: No Loose Guard house and Toke Makinwa, alongside her guests, Folagade Banks and Kika Ofulue, gave us exclusive takes on the happenings on the exclusive talk-show, The Buzz.
From the iconic Wanni x Handi and Rhuthee after-eviction fight to Chinwe and Zion’s escapade that heightened conversations around the couple both in and out of the House, three weeks in, the Housemates are definitely keeping viewers entertained.

Speaking on why a lot of pent-up anger was released this week, Folagade Banks opined that in the first and second weeks, the Housemates were bottling up their emotions. He referenced a conversation between Wanni x Handi, where the twins had disclosed that Housemates were staying away from altercations because other Housemates had the autonomy of power to evict others if crowned custodians of the week.
Regardless of the reasons, the trio - Toke, Folagade, and Kika - agreed that the Wanni x Handi and Rhuthee fight was the fight of the week. Toke Makinwa particularly mentioned that the twins had the HBIC (Head B*tch In Charge) energy.
“What is happening with Wanni, Handi and Rhuthee is a clash of personalities. Kitchen or no kitchen, they (Wanni, Handi and Rhuthee) are going to have issues,” Folagade Banks added.
Although the fights made for an interesting week, the bonds and ships forming in the House were also elements that added to the intensity of the week as Rhuthee, Mayor Frosh, and Nelly’s love triangle caused strained relationships between Sooj and Mayor Frosh, as well as between Rhuthee and Nelly. Folagade, however, shared that he was not in support of how Rhuthee communicated to her partner, DJ Flo, that she was “using” Mayor Frosh. On the other hand, Toke Makinwa and Kika were of the opinion that men do the same, so it was not wrong for her to air how she felt.
With ships constantly forming in the House, one thing the trio could agree on was that these ships were a way for these Housemates to create “content”. From Shaun and Wanni to Topher and Anita, for Kika, all these ships are strategies, and outside of the House, these relationships are not likely to thrive. In particular, she referred to Shaun’s comment, in which he implied that his current ship brings a lot of content. For Kika, the ships in the House are convenient.
On Topher and Anita’s ship, Toke said, “I think they (Topher and Anita) are cute together, but I don’t know why, I don’t see enough depth.” Kika agrees with this summation as she goes further to say, “I think it’s just content. He might like her, but not in that way. Sooj and Topher are very careful with what they do.”
As alliances and ships were forming, existing ships were falling apart, including Zinwe’s, due to her comments on dragging and sponsoring her partner and boyfriend Zion into the show. Although Toke Makinwa felt like it was a spur-of-the-moment conversation that was spewed in anger, Kika believes she was conscious of the implications of her statement and how the viewers would perceive them. Folagade, on the other hand, believes that her statement was a bit too much and guarantees the duo will have an issue when Zion finally watches the clip.

Before the show ended, Toke Makinwa expressed her liking for Shaun. She said, “There’s something about that guy, he’s growing on me. I feel like he’s such a man.” She further commented on Wanni being jealous of Shaun and Nelly’s bond. “I think she has a reason to be jealous,” she stated.
Additionally, the trio agreed that the one person Shaun would have wanted in the House was Nelly as their “steeze matches”. All these and more were discussed in this week's episode of The Buzz. Catch up on all the drama that happened on week three of BBNaija No Loose Guard on The Buzz, showing exclusively on Showmax. New episodes premiere on Thursdays.
