The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 2 episode 7 recap: “I don’t understand Mariam this year”
It’s all about family in the early moments of this episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos. It starts with Faith, who’s on a staycation at the Lagos Continental Hotel with her son, Ethan. They check out the Asian restaurant in the hotel, hoping it will be on par with their experiences in the States.

Later, Laura, Tiannah, and their kids join Faith, playing in and around the pool. We then see Tania having a family photoshoot with her husband, daughter, and their dog.

It’s a different vibe from the episodes we’ve seen so far — it feels familial and merry! But if you think that’s how the episode ends, you haven’t been paying attention.
Laura and Tiannah make up

Early in the season, Laura mentioned she and Tiannah aren’t girls' girls after the fallout last season.
In this episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos, they settle and promise to return to being friends. They greet each other like old friends who have missed each other.
“Let’s repair this friendship that we have and move on from there,” Laura says in her confessional.
“We miss each other, abi,” Tiannah teases her. “I’m glad we are past all that drama.”
They understand their boundaries and respect each other better now. Laura then stresses that they should not allow others' opinions to affect their relationship.
Hopefully, it continues this way.
Tania and Faith discuss Dr Rommel

Faith arrives early at Tania’s club party for the ladies. After they talk about Tania evading shots at events, they switch to the topic that won’t go away - Dr Rommel!
Tania tells Faith she and Chioma spoke to Rommel about his issues with his supposed friend. But Faith again stresses that they aren’t friends like that.
“I thought you guys were like besties,” a shocked Tania says.
Faith replies she doesn’t like that narrative. “He’s making it look like we’ve known each other for years. No!” she explains.
She says the whole problem with the doctor and his switch in allegiance is because she told him she doesn’t want the friendship anymore.
“When desperate people cannot use you, what do they do? They actually go around trying to make friends with other people. Take my name out of that conversation, what else do they talk about?” she asks.
Trouble begins

The night looks even more fun as all the other ladies arrive. When Mariam arrives, Tiannah throws an expensive joke; she takes it well, and they greet and play around.
But soon after, the mood starts shifting towards familiar chaos.
“There’s no way girls will be together, and there won’t be a fight,” Mariam says. “There will not be shade, and there will not be pettiness? Yes, it will happen.”
Chioma counters that no one is being fake, pretending, or doing any of the above. Mariam then insinuates that Chioma has been faking her newfound cordiality with Laura, saying the last time they left both ladies, it wasn’t a good situation.
Chioma isn’t having it, though, because whatever happened, happened a year ago.
Tania says these are two people trying to get along. Mariam and Chioma continue to shout at each other, and the other ladies join in.
Tiannah points out that all this shouting started immediately after Mariam entered the club!
