The Real Housewives of Abuja episode 9 recap: Inside OJ's posh party

OJ Posharella again opens this episode of The Real Housewives of Abuja. This time, it is with Arafa; they are talking about her upcoming event. She says she is tired.

“Planning has been like tight. I’ve gassed out. I’m tired. I am exhausted,” she complains to Arafa, but she does have good things lined up. There is an Arabian dinner with a performance by an Arabian singer. Trust OJ to come with the most dramatic and happy vibe.

Elsewhere, Tutu Pie, Samantha and Princess Jecoco are reliving childhood memories at a waterpark. The place is colourful and fun; all three women are excited about the water games, swings, and slides.

“I am that mummy that sits and watches her kids have fun, but today, I am about to get on this thing,” Samantha tells us, preparing to dip into the water.

Let’s get into the gist of the other things that happened in this episode of #RHOAbuja.

Arafa’s mini show

It seems every week, a housewife hosts a fashion show. Today, it is Arafa. Her models are rehearsing, and we see how she coordinates them. It is always a pleasure to see the women do their thing, especially in fashion.

Arafa comments and advises her models on posture and attitude. It is only a rehearsal, but this looks good. “I am looking forward to the show. I know it is gonna be awesome,” she says. “This is gonna be my best one yet. I have worked so hard on it.”

The other ladies turn up for the actual show looking stunning, as always. And Arafa was true to her words, it was a great show.

Welcome to Casa Posharella

OJ Posharella invites Comfort, Arafa and Princess to tea at her new house. She is calling it Casa Posharella. The place looks luxurious and exotic; there are tons of artwork with a touch of Arabian royalty everywhere you turn.

Arafa describes the place best, “OJ's house is as I expected it to be, full of OJ.” Princess says it is giving Dubai. Unsurprisingly, Princess and Arafa give each other the cold shoulder.

“I give Comfort a big hug, and I’m like, ‘Arafa, bye, Felicia.”

OJ’s Arabian night

This episode’s main event is the ostentatious Arabian event. There are fire dancers, over-the-top deluxe outfits and a sparkle of gold from every corner. The ladies look like princesses and queens from the Arab world.

And guess who shows up? The gorgeous Carolyna Danjuma from The Real Housewives of Lagos.

To entertain her guests, OJ invites Nigerian belly dancer Oluwabukunmi, and everyone is fixated on her moves. Comfort, Princess and Arafa shower the dancer with praises, but Aunty Tutu is not pleased.

“She just keeps twisting,” Tutu says. “In Dubai and all those places that I see belly dance, this is not how it is done.”

Arafa and Tutu getting back

The episode ends with Arafa and Tutu sharing a hug. The ladies are visiting Lagos for fun at the country’s entertainment capital. It is just Arafa and Tutu at the apartment, as the other ladies are being delayed, so they take this opportunity to talk about their relationship.

“I am actually happy the rest of the ladies are not yet around because it kind of gives me an opportunity to talk to Tutu,” Arafa admits. They are all smiles. Tutu’s energy is much better; she is back to the life of the party vibe.
