Born into Fame S1: Growth, challenges and lessons learned

AJ, Owami, Tank, Phila, Shamiso and Robbie Junior took fans on a rollercoaster ride on the first season of Born into Fame. There was laughter, tears, honest conversations and so much more. We also saw the cast members fighting and then making things right.

So, what has this show taught the reality TV stars about themselves? They each had a moment to reflect on the past couple of weeks and it looks like there’s been a lot of growth.

No regrets

AJ described being part of the show as a great experience. “I don’t regret anything. I would redo it all over again with no regret. There’s a lot that I still want to fix. There’s a lot that happened and I’m not sure how to feel about it, but it’s been amazing,” he said. Robbie shared that he’s learnt a lot and has seen more insights on things that he didn’t know.

“It definitely added to my knowledge, how I see and perceive everything. So, it’s crazy. More than anything, I had fun,” Robbie reflected.

Owami has also learned some lessons through the show. “I’ve learnt that sometimes me being quiet, people get that image that ‘we can walk all over her’, that’s number one,” she said. Owami added that she doesn’t have regrets and she’s fine with the person that she is.

Connections and self-discovery

For Phila, this journey was about creating meaningful connections. “I’m still gonna be in contact with everyone. They all have different powers I need access to. We are really a group of talented people. I hope when we go back to Jozi and get busy they realise that and get sh*t going,” he said.

While Shamiso has had fun, she’s also described the experience as “eye-opening”. “It’s taught me a lot about myself, it’s taught me a lot about other people, how I relate to other people, how I treat other people,” she said. The TV personality appreciates the love and support she’s received and assured people that she’s always going to give them more things to love and support.

Tank didn’t have much to say but encouraged viewers to watch out for him...
