The Mommy Club Sugar & Spice: Christina gets candid with Lenore
in episode 8 of The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice, Christina and Lenore sat down to have an important heart-to-heart conversation. When asked about how she’s doing, Christina told Lenore: “I guess I’m good. My actual life is a little bit hectic, especially even with my health. But I don’t know, there’s nobody better to sit across than somebody who’s dealt with the exact same thing.”
Lenore mentioned that she remembers Christina’s reaction at her event. “I did speak and mention that I was going from doctor to doctor with nobody being able to properly diagnose me. And I do recall Christina’s eyes opening up legitimately. I actually do have that recollection,” she said.
A sincere apology

Christina told Lenore that she regrets that day at her event. “I was sorry and it is the truth… At the end of the day, what happened between you and I, it’s a deep regret that follows me every single day.” She was referring to some of the comments she made about Lenore that caused tension between the ladies.
Lenore believes that Christina’s apology is sincere. “I appreciate the apology. My hands were up, my feet were up, everything was up saying ‘I’m not talking to Christina ever again',” she said. Christina shared that she and the other ladies got off on the wrong foot, but she’s not too concerned about everyone else.
“I’m just concerned about the person I hurt, and I shouldn’t have done that to you,” Christina said. She added that she didn’t like Lenore, but she cares about her. “You are inspiring to me. Not because of yourself, because of your entire story and what you’ve been through. In terms of me and you, Lenore, if you say ‘Christina, something hurts me', I will never do it again.”
Who is the real Christina?

Christina realises that she needs to be a bit more sensitive, discreet and also read the room. “We do lots of events together, me and the ladies. So, it’s just the fact that you’re the only person that I didn’t hear ‘Lenore said this, Lenore said that’… You’ve earned my respect in a way that you are really a mother.”
After that heart-to-heart, Lenore told Christina that’s she’s interested in knowing who the real Christina is. “What has led you to these outburst that you’ve had? What has led you to speak sometimes in the way that you do? I don’t understand it and maybe if a person understood the background – not that a person is excusing behaviour that’s not acceptable… At some point you have to let your guard down a little bit,” Lenore said.
Dealing with a lot

Christina got a bit vulnerable and admitted that who she is right now is not Christina, but rather a mother. “Christina doesn’t exist. It’s only Jordan’s mom… Christina has not been important to me for three years.” She revealed that it has affected her health and that she went through postpartum depression. “She’s dealing with this by herself; being a new mom, going through the depression that she is going through. Hubby is off at work; she doesn’t know how to cope.”
Christina also shared that she has a lot going on and doesn’t know how to deal. She told Lenore that she’s crumbling. “I don’t have anyone to talk to and I can’t speak to my husband because my husband has a job where he takes on so much strain when he comes home. He deals with so much. And I’m there and then I’m supposed to be the one who’s strong for him. I’m supposed to be his peace…” She broke down and told Lenore about her struggles with being a mother.
