This biographical drama reveals the story behind the chart-topping Christian song I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe. It tells the story of a young man named Bart Millard. His mom abandons him at Christian camp and leaves Bart’s abusive dad. Bart too later walks out on his dad and tries to make it in Nashville. Rejected at every turn, a friend suggests that Bart go home, make peace with his life and find inner peace – which leads to a falling out with his girlfriend and another fight with his father.
