Faithless Season 1 episode 9 recap: To have and to hold
Following the shocking events of the previous episode, Faithless episode 9 plunges us into the aftermath. Detective Dan is too late to save Jonah, who fell to his death while trying to expose Cain. To make matters worse, Dan's boss calls off the investigation into Cain for good.
Here’s the episode recap of Faithless on Showmax:
Cain's dark days

Cain's guilt haunts him. Not just because he's unintentionally responsible for Jonah's death but also because he left Jonah's body behind. Now he's on a desperate search for his son's remains. On top of this, his latest cash shipment is seized by the authorities. In a desperate bid to locate the leak, he orders a halt to all operations, including Ruth's church-based money laundering scheme.
Revealing the puppet masters

Udi's sketchy behaviour hints at his secret mission: he reports to powerful people above Cain. They think it's time to get rid of Cain, but Udi has another idea.
Deborah's business struggles

Deborah opens up to Ruth about her robbed store. Ruth offers assistance by restocking it, but Deborah's husband doubts it will save their business. Little do they know, Ruth orchestrated the robbery.
Ruth and Musa's relationship is on the rocks

Ruth's crisis of faith rocks her marriage with Musa. When Musa discovers Ruth's involvement in Manu's case, a fiery argument erupts. Just as things heat up, Udi arrives with news: Ruth is summoned by the real boss, not Cain.
Esther and Hope's mission

Esther and Hope believe Cain manipulated Ruth and want to rescue her while seeking justice for Benja. They confront Ruth to try to convince her to go to the police, but Ruth refuses. Esther contacts Detective Dan with valuable information.
Hope's arrest

Hope's husband, Joe, pressures her to cooperate with the law by turning in her friends. Police officers arrive with a warrant to search their home and Hope is arrested when they discover a gun and Manu's cellphone in her possession. She's framed as a suspect in Manu's murder!
The episode closes with Hope's arrest, leaving us eagerly waiting for the next installment of Faithless. All the episodes of Faithless are ready to bingewatch on Showmax.
