How far will one man go to get what he wants? The kykNET series Fraksie is the latest hit drama from the award-winning team behind shows like Troukoors, Fynskrif and Die Boekklub.
Set in Stellenbosch, Fraksie centres on two men: investment manager Schalk (2023 Silwerskerm Best Actor winner Edwin van der Walt from Donkerbos), who’s determined to become a dollar millionaire, and tech wizard Tim (Silwerskerm winner Marlo Minnaar from Troukoors) who’s looking for an investor for his app.
Van der Walt and co-star Trix Vivier (Waterfront) were up for Best Actor and Actress respectively in the drama category at the Silwerskerm Film and TV Awards, with 2023 Silwerskerm winner Pierre van Pletzen (7de Laan’s Oubaas) nominated for his Supporting role.
