Law, Love and Betrayal episode 12: Done in bad faith
In the latest episode of Law, Love and Betrayal, secrets explode, alliances crumble, and Gatsha’s empire teeters on the brink as Ayanda makes her most ruthless move yet. Here’s what went down:
Gugu’s fight for justice
Gugu saves delivery driver Emmanuel Mavuma from being manhandled by the police. Accused of drug dealing, Emmanuel swears he’s innocent – just a driver caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Gugu takes the case and vows to clear his name.
Ayanda’s power play
Ayanda takes her father’s absence as an opportunity to step up, announcing in a live video that she’s the interim CEO while Gatsha recovers – and that James is the firm’s newest senior partner. It’s a calculated move, and not everyone is thrilled. Furious about Ayanda’s power grab, Gatsha storms back into the office, strips Ayanda of her interim role, and reminds everyone who’s really in charge. Ayanda’s plans are falling apart, but she’s not done yet.
Lwazi hits a roadblock
Lwazi hits a pedestrian while distracted on her phone. The victim sues, but Ayanda and Lwazi turn the tables, catching her in a scam.
A break in Emmanuel’s case
Gugu and James discover a lead that ties the drugs in Emmanuel’s car to gangster Wandile Dlamini. With Sam’s help, the police uncover a cocaine stash, but it’s not enough to exonerate Emmanuel – yet.
Ayanda’s ruthless plan
Ayanda plots to have Gatsha declared a delinquent director, using his interference in the Mokoena land claim case as grounds to force him out. Lwazi warns her that going through with this will mean burning every bridge with her father. Will Ayanda let her ambition override her family ties?
A runaway client
Shock hits when Emmanuel escapes custody on the way to court, leaving Gugu scrambling to explain. James wastes no time pointing out that this case was a bad call from the start. Their argument escalates, tension crackling as Gugu admits their undeniable chemistry – but she stops just short of revealing the truth about Gatsha.
The bombshell
Ayanda corners Gugu, demanding answers about her connection to Gatsha. In a heated moment, Gugu drops the truth: Gatsha is her father.
A family in crisis
Ayanda confronts Gatsha, hurling accusations and declaring her hatred for him. As her words cut deeper, Gatsha collapses in what looks like a heart attack.
With Gatsha’s life hanging by a thread, the family and firm are at a breaking point. Can the damage be repaired – or is it too late? The explosive Law, Love and Betrayal season finale lands Thursday, only on Showmax!
